The JL Flush Mount Aluminum LED Tail Lamp Housings are designed to solve one of the JL Wrangler’s most common trail problems: bulky factory tail lamps that catch on rocks, trees, and obstacles. After enough cracked housings, dangling plastic, and duct‑taped trail fixes, these slim aluminum replacements offer a clean, high‑clearance solution that dramatically reduces rear‑corner vulnerability.
These housings pull the tail lamps in tight to the JL body, improving clearance and minimizing the chance of trail damage. Pair them with rear corner armor for maximum protection and peace of mind—no more worrying about breaking factory lamps or limping home with taped‑up plastic.
These slimmer JL Flush LED Tail Lamp Housings mount using factory attachment points and bring the lamps significantly closer to the body. They are designed as a direct plug‑and‑play upgrade with factory connectors, making installation simple and wiring‑free.
Each housing includes integrated LED brake, turn, and tail lamps, plus a bright white reverse LED. The DA‑sanded aluminum finish requires no painting, and the design eliminates exposed hardware for a clean, modern look.
Installation takes about 15 minutes. These aluminum housings can be installed bare metal or finished to your preference. No wiring modifications are needed—simply plug into the JL’s factory harness.
Blind Spot Detection: These housings do not work with JL models equipped with blind‑spot monitoring, as the sensors are built into the factory tail lamps and cannot be relocated into metal housings.
JL models equipped with factory halogen tail lamps may experience fast‑blinking signals. This can be corrected by reconfiguring the vehicle’s lighting settings to “LED.” Lights‑out warnings may appear on startup because aftermarket housings lack factory health‑monitoring circuits. These warnings do not affect operation but can be disabled using a programmer such as the JL Tazer Mini.
Change lamp mode from LED to Halogen, then back to LED. If starting with Halogens: switch to LED → back to Halogen → then LED again. You must end on LED mode.
Allow several sleep cycles (vehicle off, key removed, door closed, wait a few minutes). Then start the vehicle and activate each blinker for 20 seconds. An error may appear initially but should clear within that time.
Products are designed to fit vehicles with varying factory tolerances; minor hand‑fitting may be required, especially if the vehicle has sustained rear‑corner impacts. Bare aluminum may show surface imperfections from handling and fabrication—these are easily concealed with textured powder coat. Smooth finishes may require additional prep work. Lead times are estimates and may vary due to production realities. All Next Venture Motorsports products are laser cut, CNC formed, and hand‑welded in Colorado, USA.
